ICC Test Ranking: Yashasvi enters the top 10 in the ICC Test Ranking, Rohit-Kohli benefits | leader









Leaders Online Desk : ICC Test Ranking : Indian team's young opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has entered the top-10 in the ICC Test batsmen rankings. In the latest rankings released on Wednesday, he has moved up two places to reach the 10th position. Its rating is 727. In the current series against England, it has rained runs from Yashashav's bat. He has scored 655 runs in the last four matches, including two double centuries. The fifth and final Test match of the series will start from Thursday (7th) at Dharamsala. India has already bagged this series with an unassailable lead of 3-1.

India captain Rohit Sharma and veteran batsman Virat Kohli have also benefited in the Test rankings. Rohit has moved up from 13th to 11th with a rating of 720 while Kohli (727) has moved up one place to eighth. Kohli is not part of the England series due to personal reasons. On the other hand, Australia's Cameron Greene (661) jumped 22 places in the rankings to reach the 23rd position. Green batted brilliantly in the first Test against New Zealand. Australia's legendary batsman Steve Smith (771) has slipped to the third position. Its rating has dipped below 800 points for the first time since 2014. Despite a poor performance in the first Test, New Zealand's Kane Williamson (870) remains at number one. In Wellington he scored 0 and 9. Williamson's teammates Glenn Phillips (52nd) and Rachin Ravindra (76th) have improved the rankings.

India's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah (rating 867) continues to rule the Test bowlers rankings. Spinner R Ashwin (846) is second and Kagiso Rabada (834) is third. Australia's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood (822) and spinner Nathan Lyon (797) have benefited from good performances. Hazlewood moved up one place to fourth, while Lyon moved up two places to sixth.
