Swati Maliwal attack case: Bibhav Kumar's judicial custody extended till June 22


Leader Online Desk: Tis Hazari Court in Delhi has extended the court custody of Bibhav Kumar, the suspected accused in the Swati Maliwal attack case, till June 22. Bibhav Kumar was produced in the court through video conferencing. Meanwhile, the Tis Hazari court has also rejected two bail applications of Bibhav Kumar.

Bibhav Kumar was sent to judicial custody for 14 days on June 1 in the Swati Maliwal attack case. Today was the last day of his judicial custody. When he was again produced in the court today, the judicial custody has been extended till June 22.

Bibhav Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 18 in the Swati Maliwal attack case. On May 27, he filed a bail petition. After that, another bail petition was filed on Thursday, June 13. It has been rejected. After both the petitions were rejected, Kumar has approached the High Court seeking a regular petition.

What happened?

Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's associate Bibhav Kumar of assault. According to the complaint filed by Melwal, she had gone to meet Arvind Kejriwal at his government residence on the morning of May 13. At that time there was an argument between Bibhav Kumar and After this, Bibhav Kumar beat him up. 'Kicked in the chest, stomach and abdomen. He also threatened to kill. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the case. The Delhi Police had seized a digital video recorder (DVR) along with other documents from the CM's house and sent it to the forensic lab.
