According to this decision, the Mumbai Ranji team will be given an additional Rs 5 crore by the MCA. It has been a very good year for Mumbai cricket. The team has won seven titles. On the last day of the Ranji Trophy Final, Vidarbha needed 290 runs to chase down the target of 538 runs. Vidarbha skipper Akshay Wadkar and Harsh Dubey's 130-run partnership for the sixth wicket kept Mumbai out in the morning session. But after the dismissal of first Akshay and then Harsh in two consecutive overs before tea, Vidarbha's innings collapsed and the entire team was bowled out for 368 runs. Tanush Kotian took a total of 4 wickets. Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother Musheer, who made his debut for India in the Test series against England, batted powerfully in the final match. Musheer scored 136 runs in the second innings. After this, Vidarbha dismissed two batsmen in the second innings. He was selected as the man of the match. Tushar Deshpande also took 2 wickets.
