Ranjeet, the famous villain of the 70-80s, became famous by playing negative roles. He was often seen drinking alcohol in films, although in real life he never drank even a drop of alcohol. In a recent interview given to ANI, he told that even though he himself does not drink alcohol, there were often parties in his house, in which big stars attended.
Ranjit has told, My parents lived in Delhi and I lived in Juhu. Everyone used to come to my house every evening, because there were no formalities or restrictions in my house. Reena Roy used to come to my house and make parathas, Parveen Babi used to come to my house and make drinks, Moushumi Chatterjee used to cook fish, Neetu Singh used to make bhindi and the atmosphere at home was very good. Sunil Dutt, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Khan, Firoz Khan, Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha were present as male guests. People like Rajesh Khanna used to drink one to two bottles of liquor in a night.
Ranjeet was last seen in Akshay Kumar's film Housefull 4.
Actors used to reach late for shooting after the party
Ranjeet has told that he mostly used to work in double shifts, when he returned from work, there was already a party going on in the house. They said, I believe that any house where guests come is blessed by God. There was a lot of space in my house, so I used to entertain people. Due to parties, all the actors used to get late for the next day's shooting. They used to reach after 2 o'clock for the 10 o'clock shift.
