Leaders Online Desk: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the Karnataka government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel. The Karnataka government has increased the price of petrol and diesel on Saturday (15th). After the government's decision, petrol price in Karnataka has increased by Rs 3 per liter and diesel price by Rs 3.05 per litre. This price increase will be done from 12 midnight.
Price hike due to fuel tax hike
As per Karnataka state government instructions, petrol was taxed at 25.92%. It has now increased to 29.84%. Similarly, there was a tax of 14.3% on diesel. Now it has been increased to 18.4%. After this fuel price hike, the price of petrol in Bangalore has increased to Rs 99.84 per liter and diesel to Rs 85.93 per litre. Citizens are expressing their anger after the increase in the price of this fuel.
Petrol and diesel prices are likely to go up in Karnataka as the state govt revises sales tax by 29.84% and 18.44%.
