Leaders Online Desk: In Chhattisgarh, an encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites has started again in the Gangalur area of ​​Bijapur district today (3rd) morning. The jawans have so far recovered the bodies of 13 Naxalites from the encounter site. The killed Naxalites include 11 male and 2 female Naxalites. The largest ever search operation is underway after the encounter.
The soldiers surrounded the forest overnight
The jawans have surrounded the entire area. A 24-hour continuous search operation is underway after the encounter yesterday morning. Troops of Cobra 210 Battalion and DRG are present at the encounter site. The search operation was called off after dark on Tuesday evening. Security forces also received information that many injured Naxalites were hiding in the forest area where the encounter took place, so jawans cordoned off the entire forest overnight. The search operation has been intensified since this morning.
Bastar IG Sundarraj said security forces had received information that Naxalist leader Papa Rao was in Sendra area of ​​Bijapur. After this, the security forces conducted a search operation. On Tuesday, firing started from both sides. The jawans have eliminated the Naxalites by giving a befitting reply to the firing.
13 Annihilation of Naxalites
A joint team of DRG, CRPF, Cobra Bastar Fighters, Bastaria Battalion and CAF personnel were also involved in the search operation. The identity of the Naxalites killed in the encounter is being ascertained. Also, preparations are underway to bring the bodies of Naxalites to the Bijapur headquarters. So far 13 naxalites have been killed by jawans and automatic weapons like AK 47, LMG have also been recovered.
