BJP's next meeting for candidate selection will be held on Friday (March 8). It is understood that there will be churning on 185 to 200 seats in Maharashtra and other states. Before that, the meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee will be held tomorrow (March 7) in which 130 candidates are expected to be selected. According to BJP sources, BJP is preparing to announce candidates for more than 300 seats before the election announcement. Last week, the BJP had announced a list of 195 candidates including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and various Union ministers. Now in the second meeting of the Central Election Committee about 185 to 200 seats will be discussed. It has seats in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar. However, in the frontline states, the BJP will churn the same seats where the party won in the last Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi's name will be approved from Amethi in the Congress Central Election Committee meeting. This will be announced in the first list announced by the party.
