According to BJP sources, BJP is preparing to announce candidates for more than 300 seats before the election announcement. Last week, the BJP had announced a list of 195 candidates including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and various Union ministers. Now in the second meeting of the Central Election Committee about 185 to 200 seats will be discussed. It has seats in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar. However, in the frontline states, the BJP will churn the same seats where the party won in the last Lok Sabha elections. Those seats which have not been discussed with the allies, will not be discussed in the election committee meeting at present. (Lok Sabha Election 2024)

Rahul Gandhi from Amethi?

Rahul Gandhi's name will be approved from Amethi in the Congress Central Election Committee meeting. This will be announced in the first list announced by the party. Sources also say that Priyanka Vadra will contest the election from Rae Bareli. However, there is little possibility that the name of Rae Bareli candidate will be announced in the first list. According to sources, Congress Shresthi and Gandhi family leaders have directed the election committee to thoroughly check the background of the candidate before announcing his name. Precautions are being taken to ensure that the candidate concerned does not join the BJP after the name is announced. After the announcement of the first list of BJP, the pressure on Congress has also increased.
