Second-placed Rajasthan Royals with 16 points were expected to beat Delhi Capitals to become the first team to enter the playoffs, but Rishabh Pant's side did not let that happen. Interestingly, no team has yet qualified for the playoffs and no team has been eliminated from the tournament. Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, who are currently at the bottom of the points table, are also in the race.
Kolkata-Rajasthan lead (IPL 2024 Playoffs)
A total of 56 matches have been played so far in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. Right now only two teams seem to be the closest to the playoffs and there is talk that they could qualify. But at present it has not happened. Looking at the current point table, KKR is currently at the top position with 16 points. Rajasthan Royals also have the same number of points. Even with these points, both the teams can go to the playoffs, but they need at least one more win to put the 'Q' in front of their name, which both the teams are looking forward to.
CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad, LSG, DC draw
Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals have equal points. 12 points have been added to the account of all four teams. So in a way we are getting to see Churas here. This is followed by RCB, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, who also have eight points each. KKR-RR's place almost certain
In fact, there should be no doubt that KKR Rajasthan will also make it to the playoffs. Because both have three matches left and need only one win. Even if these teams lose all their matches, the odds will remain alive. After this, the fight will continue for two more seats. It should be assumed that any two of the four teams currently standing with 12 points will secure their place in the top 4. That means the upcoming matches are going to be more important.
