Encounter In Chhattisgarh
Leader Online Desk: An encounter took place between Naxalites and security forces in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh from today (03rd) morning. One Naxalite was killed while one police constable was martyred, PTI reported. (Encounter In Chhattisgarh)
The encounter took place when a joint team was on an anti-Naxal operation near Hidur village under Chotebethia police station in Kanker district (Chhattisgarh), which was launched based on specific information about the presence of Naxalites in Hidur forest. (Encounter In Chhattisgarh)
The dead body of a Naxalite and an AK-47 rifle have been recovered from the encounter site. He also said that a search operation is underway in the area. Three jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force, two jawans of the Special Commando Battalion for Resolute Action were martyred in an encounter with Naxalites on the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts of Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. This incident has happened just one month after this. Tekulagudem village, where the encounter took place, was the site of another encounter in 2021 in which 23 soldiers were killed.
