New Delhi, Pudhari News Service: The Government of India has appointed Dinesh Tripathi as the Chief of the Navy. He is currently the deputy chief of Nodal. Dinesh Tripathi will take charge as the Navy Chief on April 30 at the end of the month. The central government announced his appointment late on Thursday (April 18) night.
Dinesh Tripathi has been working in the Navy for the past 40 years. During his long career, he has carried out many important achievements and responsibilities. He is currently the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff and was earlier the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.
Dinesh Tripathi is an alumnus of Sainik School, Rewa and National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 1 July 1985. The new Chief of Naval Staff, Dinesh Tripathi, is a communications and electronic warfare specialist. He commanded ships like Destruction, Kirch and Trishul during his naval career. Along with this, he has also made important operational and staff appointments. These include the Fleet Operations Officer, Western Fleet in Mumbai, the Naval Operational Director, the Principal Director of Network Centric Operations in Mumbai and the Principal Director Naval Plans in New Delhi.
