450 Youth Polling Stations for Lok Sabha Elections, Thane district has the highest number of 36 stations









Thane, Leading News Service : Lok Sabha Election 2024 : Youth workers in the service of the state government will have full control of the center for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A total of 450 polling stations, 440 women polling stations and 254 disabled polling stations will be set up across the state with youth workers appointed. Among these, Thane district has the highest number of 36 youth polling stations. Youth workers have been trained in polling process responsibilities at polling stations on polling day.

There are youth employees in various departments in the service of the state government. All such youth workers have been given the task of Lok Sabha elections. Youth workers have been appointed in each polling station with different responsibilities. Election Commission has taken the initiative to implement new activities from this year to encourage youth voters. According to this, it has been emphasized that at least one polling station in every district should be manned by youth workers. (Lok Sabha Election 2024)

Youth workers are going to control maximum number of 36 polling booths in Thane district. 30 in Ratnagiri and Nashik, 29 in Latur and 26 youth worker-controlled polling stations in Mumbai suburbs. Washim, Hingoli, Gadchiroli and Satara districts have the least number of youth worker managed polling stations with 3 centers each while Nandurbar district has 4 youth worker managed polling stations.

This time women will control 440 polling stations in the state. A total of 254 polling stations will be controlled by disabled employees.
