Azim Premji: Azim Premji will enter the banking sector now?









After capturing the IT and FMCG sector, Azim Premji is now likely to enter the banking sector. Azim Premji, India's billionaire businessman and head of India's leading IT company Wipro, owns an investment company called Premji Invest. The work of investing in various industries is done by this company.

Premji has investments in non-banking finance companies like TVS Credit, ICICI Pru Like, FSS; But soon there are signs of getting into the banking sector as well. Premji Invest is eyeing to buy Uttarakhand-based Nainital Bank, a subsidiary of Bank of Baroda. Currently, analysts estimate the value of this bank to be close to 800 crores. The preliminary talks are going on in this regard and it is understood that 51 percent stake will be sold in the first phase.
