Prashant Waghaye, New Delhi : Vice President and Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankhad administered the oath of office and secrecy to 12 newly elected MPs among the recently elected members of the Rajya Sabha. 6 MPs were elected to the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra, out of which BJP's Medha Kulkarni, Congress's Chandrakant Handore took oath today. Vice President and RegtState BJP MP Medha Kulkarni took the oath in Sanskrit in a program held in the hall of Yesh Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankhad.
After taking the oath of Rajya Sabha membership, BJP MP MayDha Kulkarni, interacted with 'Pudhari'. While interacting with 'Pudhari', she said, “I was very overwhelmed while taking oath as Rajya Sabha member. Many veterans left their mark on this hall with their achievements, talent and eloquence, the sound of their voices echoed in my mind. I promise that I will make full use of my abilities and perform well in the highest house of our country and try to add to the glorious tradition of the motherland. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J. P. Nadda, senior BJP functionary B. L. Santosh, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and all office bearers, activists, union office bearers of BJP. I am also indebted to all the well-wishers and citizens who love me, whose encouragement I have always received.” She also said.
Besides Chandrakant Handore of BJP's Medha Kulkarni Congress from Maharashtra State, Dharamsheela Gupta of RJD, Manoj Kumar Jha, Sanjay Yadav from Bihar, BJP MP from Gujarat Govindbhai Dholakia, BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh Harsh Mahajan, MP from Uttar Pradesh Sadhana Singh, MP from Madhya Pradesh L. Murugan, Congress MP Ashok Singh, Congress MP from Karnataka G. C. Chandrasekhar, Independent MP from Haryana Jagdish Chandra also took oath as Rajya Sabha member.
