New Delhi, Leading News Service: BJP announced its list of 112 candidates for the Odisha assembly elections today. Odisha BJP state president Manmohan Samal will contest from Chandabali while BJP leader Manoj Kumar Meher will contest from Junagadh. BJP has fielded Shisir Mishra against Biju Janata Dal chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. This contest in Hinjali constituency is going to be interesting. Odisha Assembly Election 2024
BJP had won 23 out of 147 seats in the previous assembly elections. Biju Janata Dal, which is in power, won 112 seats. Assembly elections in Odisha will be held along with the Lok Sabha elections. Among the major candidates, BJP has nominated party leader Jayanta Kumar Sarangi from Puri. Prakash Chandra Sethi has been nominated from Cuttack Sadar and Jagannath Pradhan from Bhubaneswar Central.
