'YRF did not honor its promises': Farida Jalal said- I tried my best to maintain the relationship, Yash Chopra broke the promise

Veteran actress of the past, Farida Jalal, has recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series 'Heeramandi'. Farida Jalal is very emotional about the love that her character Kudsia Begum is getting in the series. Meanwhile, during an interview, the actress talked about Yash Chopra and said that he had broken his promise. The actress also revealed that she will not be seen in 'Heeramandi 2'. She told that one of her scenes has been cut from the first season.

Farida Jalal played the role of Kajol's mother Lajwanti in Yash Chopra's film 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. After this film, Yash Chopra wanted to cast Farida Jalal in 'Dil To Pagal Hai' as well. The actress said- 'After Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', one day I got a call from Yash ji for 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. The role in this film was small. He said that I have a role for you, but Aditya feels that you will not do it. Never say no to me or Aditya. I want this series to continue. I liked what he said.

Farida Jalal played a small role of Akshay Kumar's mother in the film 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. The actress said- I was very happy when Yash ji said that he wants our relationship to never end. I did a scene in that film, I tried my best to maintain the relationship. But after that film, there was no call from YRF for any other film. YRF did not honor its promises. I was ready to continue the relationship, but if you cast someone else in my place, it hurts.

Recently, season 2 of 'Heeramandi' has also been announced. When Farida was asked what her role would be in season 2, the actress said- In season 1, the bed scene between Alamzeb and Kudsia Begum was cut. According to the original scene, after hearing about Alamzeb's pregnancy, I ask for medicines, which shows my desire to live. I don't know why that scene was cut.
