That was the first audition of my life, but I was rejected. But the actor who was going to play this character refused two weeks before the shooting. Then I got a call and I did this film. It was just a game of luck. I consider myself very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work continuously with good directors in films.

It was a challenge for me to prove myself.
Vikrant Massey says, 'Film makers do not take actors working on TV seriously. Film people think that TV actors keep roaming around with a body, that's it. It was a challenge for me to prove myself. My only thinking is that whatever film work I am getting, I have to do it well with complete honesty.

I consider myself very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with good directors, be it Vikramaditya Motwane, Zoya Akhtar, Meghna Gulzar, Konkona Sen Sharma or Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
