That was the first audition of my life, but I was rejected. But the actor who was going to play this character refused two weeks before the shooting. Then I got a call and I did this film. It was just a game of luck. I consider myself very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work continuously with good directors in films.

Vikrant Massey decided to leave TV for films at a time when he was getting Rs 35 lakh a month on television. Vikrant Massey says, 'When I started working in films, everyone was talking in fluent English and at that time I was very limited in English. Film actors despise TV actors a lot. I am not saying that this happened to me there, but it usually happens.

Vikrant Massey says, 'Film makers do not take actors working on TV seriously. Film people think that TV actors keep roaming around with a body, that's it. It was a challenge for me to prove myself. My only thinking is that whatever film work I am getting, I have to do it well with complete honesty.

I consider myself very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with good directors, be it Vikramaditya Motwane, Zoya Akhtar, Meghna Gulzar, Konkona Sen Sharma or Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
