Bollywood's Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan was recently honoured with an award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. After the award, a discussion session was held with Shah Rukh Khan in which he talked about the early days of his career. The actor has revealed that at the beginning of his career, a director called him ugly.

During the session, Shahrukh was asked how he came into films. On this, the actor said, I once went to a director's office. He is very famous, I will not take his name. Even if I take his name, he will not mind, but I do not want to take his name. He told me that the most attractive thing about you is that you are ugly. Because other heroes look like Swiss chocolate. I did not look like Swiss chocolate, so I said okay I am ugly, so I will do the same role. I did the same roles. I did Darr.

Initially, Shahrukh did not reveal the name of that director, however, later he revealed that the director who called him ugly was none other than Yash Chopra. Shahrukh Khan had worked with him in the film Darr. The actor has told that after the shooting of the film Darr was over, Yash Chopra had told him, you don't look that ugly. I want to cast you in a love story. Shahrukh has told that that love story film was none other than the blockbuster hit Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. During the introduction, Shahrukh Khan also recreated the iconic dialogue of the film Darr, 'I love you Kkk Kiran', after hearing which the entire stage echoed with applause.

Let us tell you that the 77th Locarna Film Festival was held in Locarno, Switzerland. Here Shahrukh Khan was honored with the Pardo alla Carriera Award. However, many social media users did not like Shahrukh Khan's attitude towards an elderly man on the red carpet of the film festival. In the video, Shahrukh was seen pushing an elderly man, due to which Shame on you Shahrukh trended on social media.

The screening of Shahrukh Khan's film Devdas, released in 2002, was also organised at this film festival.
