New Delhi, Leading News Service: The central government has rejected a US report alleging human rights violations in Manipur and Jammu Kashmir. The Ministry of External Affairs said the report was discriminatory. On this report, India has raised the issue of Washink violence in the US and has given a blunt reply to the US. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal informed that we have repeatedly raised this issue during our discussions with the US delegation about the attacks and violence in the United States due to racial disputes.
Indian students are being discriminated against in Columbia University and other universities in America. Our focus is on the Indian students who are protesting against this. He said that we have discussed this with US authorities and registered India's protest. America needs to strike a balance between freedom of expression and thought before speaking out about human rights violations in India. Jaiswal also clarified that the report given by the US that the US is violating human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur is pure mischief and discriminatory. The Ministry of External Affairs has denied the allegations made by the US on Khalistani militant Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and has replied to the US that it has formed a high-level committee in this regard.
