In Hema Malini's autobiography, 'The Dream Girl', Esha Deol had revealed that with the help of Sunny Deol, she was able to meet Dharmendra's first wife for the first time. Actually, Isha and her sister Ahana were very close to uncle Ajit Deol. In 2015, Ajit became very ill. His treatment was going on at the house of Dharmendra and his first wife Prakash Kaur.

Isha and Ahana wanted to meet their ailing uncle but before that they had not gone to Prakash Kaur's house. Then he called elder brother Sunny Deol and requested him to come home and meet his uncle. Isha had said- I wanted to meet my uncle. He loved me and Ahana very much. We had no other option but to go to his house because he was not even in the hospital but at home. In such a situation, I called Sunny Bhaiya and he made complete arrangements to meet uncle.
This was the first time when Isha met Prakash Kaur. As soon as Isha reached home, she touched her stepmother's feet. Then Prakash Kaur blessed him and left for other work.

In 1954, Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur at the age of 19. From this marriage he has two sons Sunny and Bobby Deol and two daughters Vijeta and Ajeeta. Without divorcing his first wife, he married actress Hema Malini in 1980. To get married, he had also converted to Islam. He has two daughters, Isha and Ahana Deol, from this marriage.
