The Sikh community has demanded that the film be completely banned and strict action should be taken against Kangana.

Jaspal Singh Suri, who led the protestors, said, 'Kangana should go everywhere and apologize. She has called the Khalsa sect terrorists. She has called the farmers who were on hunger strike for their rights terrorists. If she does not do this, then her coming days will be very bad. The consequences will be very bad.

She has made this film to incite fighting between Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. If this film is released, there will be riots and massacres everywhere. This is an act of getting beaten up and she (Kangana) will get beaten up.'

Release of film Emergency banned
The film Emergency was earlier scheduled to release on September 6, but now its release has been stopped. Kangana shared a video on her X handle and said, 'The release of the film Emergency has been stopped. The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) had cleared the film, but later put a stop on the certification.

This has happened because there are too many death threats. The censor board is also getting threats. There is pressure on us not to show Indira Gandhi's assassination, not to show Bhindranwale, not to show the Punjab riots. I don't know what to show next.

I don't know what happened that the film was suddenly blacked out. This cannot be trusted. I feel very bad seeing the situation in the country.
