The winners did nothing for Punjab Sidhu claimed that BJP people did not want to break ties with the Badal family. I had differences with BJP on many issues. So, I chose Punjab. Arun Jaitley Saheb was my elder brother. When Jaitley Saheb came to Punjab, he advised me to contest elections from Kurukshetra. Also said that you will win the election by 2 lakh votes. I tried to explain to them, there is a lot of anger among the people against them (against the Badals).
I built Amritsar through my hard work. I was not listened to. My mother told me one thing that a person who does not stand by what he said, is doomed. I still stand by my point. I fought with my government for Punjab.
Many times a person loses after winning and wins after losing. Those who won did nothing for Punjab. I kept speaking against my government. I had told Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh that the coming 7 generations will remember you if you do something for the state, but everyone was busy filling their houses.
Road map needed to take Punjab forward Sidhu said that I consider politics as a mission. Now it has become a profession. I have nailed this business and will continue to do so. There is a need for a right road map to take Punjab forward. It is important that there is provision of proper budget for it. Promises were made to give freebies, they should be told how it will be delivered?
