Pandit Hira Nath Dadhi Wale, head priest of the ancient Punjabi Dharamshala and priest guru of late Sunil Dutt, says that 'there is a long list of big names of the film world who come to Gaya to perform the Pind Daan of their ancestors. Pandit Heera Nath Daadiwale said that 'Dimple Kapadia's maternal home is in Gujarat, so her ancestors' account books were maintained at the place of Pandit Bhai of Gujarat. Pandit Mani Lal Barik says that 'Sanjay Dutt had performed Pind Daan for his father Sunil Dutt and mother Nargis Dutt and other ancestors on 11 January this year. During Pind Daan, Sanjay Dutt had smilingly told his sons that 'you people should also perform my Pind Daan in the same way as I am performing for my father and ancestors'. He had specially performed Pind Daan at Falgu Ghat, Vat Vriksha and Dev Ghat. Pind Daan for his ancestors was duly performed by Amarnath Mehrwar.
Prithvi Raj Kapoor also came in the 70s
Pandit Mani Lal Barik said that 'Prithvi Raj Kapoor also came here in the 70s and performed Pind Daan for his ancestors here.' He said that 'Kapoor family originally hails from Lahoriyon ki Gali in Peshawar, Pakistan. They have a very big house there.'
He said that 'No one from the Kapoor family has come for many years. Hindus from Pakistan are our hosts. We have their contacts. When they come, all their arrangements are made by us.'

Panda Mani Lal Barik said that 'whether it is a celebrity or a political giant, they lack time. They are not able to come to Gaya again and again like common people. They perform Pind Daan only once. There are very few people who perform Pind Daan twice. Coming here and having darshan of Lord Vishnu is another thing. Do that several times, even that is less.'
