Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have got a big relief from the Bombay High Court. The ED told the High Court that it will not act on the eviction notice issued to the couple until the Appellate Tribunal completes hearing on their petition challenging the property attachment order.

On September 27, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued notices to Shilpa Shetty and Kundra in an alleged money laundering case linked to the Bitcoin fraud, seeking to seize their house in Juhu, Mumbai and a farm house in Pune. The couple had filed a petition against this in the Bombay High Court. There was also a demand for its cancellation, calling it illegal and arbitrary.

At the same time, the bench of Justice Revati Mohite Dere and Justice PK Chavan on Thursday allowed Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra to apply for stay. The court said that no action would be taken on the eviction notice until the Appellate Tribunal decides on their appeal. The court also said, if the Appellate Tribunal gives a decision against them, then two weeks' time will be given to implement it.
