By the end of the second day's play, Mumbai had taken a 260-run lead in their second innings thanks to half-centuries from Ajinkya Rahane (58 not out) and Mushir Khan (51 not out).
Earlier, on the second day of the match on Monday, Vidarbha did not face criticism before Mumbai's Bhedak Maa. His team was all out for just 105 runs. So the Mumbai team got a lead of 119 runs. Dhawal Kulkarni, Mulani and Kotian took 3 wickets each for Mumbai. While Shardul got 1 wicket.
Mumbai's second innings got off to a poor start. Mumbai got their first shock in the form of Prithvi Shaw who scored 46 runs in the first innings. He was dismissed for 11 off 18 balls. After that, Mumbai got the second blow in the form of Bhupen Lalwani on 34 runs. Lalwani was dismissed for 18 runs. After this, Rahane and Musheer managed the innings. At the end of the day, he scored 141 for 2 in 50 overs.
