Randeep was in depression after the closure of Battle of Saragarhi: He said, he had not shaved his beard for 3 years for the film, even his parents were worried after seeing his condition.

Randeep Hooda is in the news these days because of the film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. Recently he talked about the biggest struggle of professional life. He told that when the film Battle of Saragarhi was shelved, he became a victim of depression.

He also revealed how he almost lost the chance to star in Chris Hemsworth's 2020 film Extraction.

The film could not be made even after a lot of preparations

Randeep told in an interview to Humans of Bombay, 'I had grown a Sikh beard for 3 years for the Battle of Saragarhi. Apart from this, a lot of preparations were also done. But that film could not be completed. This was a very bad moment for me, I was also in depression.

Randeep had no work for 3 years

Randeep further said, it was as if life was cut in half. For this, I had rejected the offer of Chris Hemsworth's 2020 film Extraction. I once went to the Golden Temple. I had pledged there that I would not get my hair cut until the film (Battle of Saragarhi) reached its conclusion.

After the film closed, I had no work for three years. I had gained weight, it all felt strange and I didn't know what to do. Parents were also very worried about all this. After this I accepted the offer of the film Extraction.

Bad times helped me become a better actor

Randeep told how this bad phase helped him become a better actor. He said- If I had got success early, I would not have been the actor I am today.

The film collected Rs 4 crore 85 lakh worldwide.

'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' is released in theaters on March 22. The Indian collection of the film has reached Rs 3 crore 35 lakh in two days. It has earned Rs 4 crore 85 lakh worldwide.
