New Delhi, Leading News Service: Former Justice Madan Lokur and A. P. Shah and senior journalist N. Ram invited Prime Minister Modi and Rahul Gandhi for an open discussion on the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday (9). The invitation said that the discussion will be public and impartial. Also, both the leaders have been urged to accept the invitation for this public discussion.
The Lok Sabha elections are in the middle. On this occasion, to strengthen the process of democracy, former Supreme Court Justice Madan Lokur, former Delhi High Court Justice A. P. Shah and senior journalist N. Ram has given this invitation to two prominent leaders of the country. In this letter, all the three have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi to present their views impartially on the public platform. He hoped that this would strengthen the democratic process in the country.
On the one hand talking about the issues of reservation, Article 370 and property redistribution. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi is talking about possible attacks on the constitution, election blocking scheme and China issues. However, it has been mentioned in the letter that the people could not get any clear and meaningful answer from this.
As a representative of the people, I want to discuss with both the leaders. The venue, time and format for this public discussion will be decided by mutual agreement of the two leaders. Also, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi are unable to attend the discussion, the two leaders should send their representatives, the letter has also appealed.
