Actor Ashwath Bhatt, who has appeared in superhit films like Raazi, Kesari and Mission Majnu, was recently robbed in Istanbul. The actor has talked about his bad experience. The actor has told that a gang of robbers beat him up and robbed him at a popular tourist spot.
Recently, in an interview given to Times of India, actor Ashwath Bhatt has told that during his Istanbul vacation, his friend had warned him that robbery is common in the place he is going to. The actor ignored his friend's words and left for Istanbul's tourist spot Galata Tower. He was walking on the road when a man came to threaten him with a chain. Before the actor could understand anything, the robber attacked him on his back with the chain. In no time, his gang gathered there, who used to rob the belongings of people walking on the road.
Further, the actor has told that the matter got out of hand when Ashwath Bhatt started fighting with them in self-defense. When a cab driver present during this incident saw the robbery, he came to save the actor. As soon as the cab driver arrived, the robbers ran away, after which Ashwath went to the nearest local police station and informed about this matter. At present, an official complaint has not been registered. According to the actor, many such incidents happen in that area, although most people do not complain about it.
Ashwat Bhatt has been a part of Akshay Kumar's film Kesari.
The actor has said, I have been to many places in the Middle East, Egypt and Europe many times, but such an incident has never happened to me before.
