Shatrughan Sinha recently reached 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' with his wife Poonam, daughter Sonakshi and son-in-law Zaheer Iqbal. During this time he made many revelations about his personal life. Shatrughan Sinha told that his mother-in-law did not like him and she had rejected the actor.
Actually, Archana Puran Singh had asked Poonam Sinha who had proposed first, she or Shatrughan. Responding to this, Shatrughan said that Poonam had asked him to propose for marriage. Then Poonam told that Shatrughan's elder brother had come to her house to talk about marriage. But her mother did not approve of this marriage and directly said that her daughter will not marry anyone associated with the film industry.
Meanwhile, Shatrughan Sinha revealed, 'When my brother went to her (Poonam Sinha) house, my mother-in-law told her, have you seen your brother? This Bihari is a street hooligan and our daughter is milk-washed, fair and Miss India. If we make both of them stand together and take a color photo, it will appear black and white.
Shatrughan and Poonam got married in 1980. Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha first met in the train going from Patna to Mumbai. Both of them dated each other for some time and then got married on 9 July 1980.
Sonakshi-Zaheer's marriage took place on 23rd June Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha's daughter and actress Sonakshi married Zaheer Iqbal on June 3 as per Hindu and Muslim rituals. After this, he gave a wedding reception on the night of 23rd June at Bastion Restaurant in Mumbai which was attended by many big stars of the film industry including Salman Khan, Rekha, Kajol.
