Leader Online Desk: Under the PM Kisan Yojana, crores of farmers in the country have received the benefit of 16 installments so far. On February 28, the amount of the 16th installment was sent to the bank account of the farmers. Now the farmers are waiting for the 17th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi.
When will the 17th installment of PM Kisan come?
According to media reports, the 17th installment may be credited to the accounts of farmers in the country by the end of May or beginning of June. However, no official announcement has been made about when the next installment of PM Kisan Yojana will come.
Highlights of PM Kisan Yojana
- 16th installment of PM Kisan Yojana It was issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February.
- At that time more than 21 thousand crore rupees were released to more than 9 crore farmers.
- The 17th installment may be released by the end of May.
- Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers get Rs 2,000 each in three installments every year.
- Only those farmers who have done e-KYC will get the benefit of this scheme.
Annual financial benefit of Rs.6 thousand to farmers
The Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) is being launched by the central government to provide financial assistance to the farmers of the country. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana started on 24 February 2019. Under this, eligible farmers of the country are given 6 thousand rupees every year by the central government. Through the scheme, the government does not pay Rs 6,000 to the farmers at once but in 3 equal installments of Rs 2,000 each.
E-KYC is mandatory to get next installment
If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan Yojana and want to avail the next installment, it is mandatory for you to do e-KYC. If you have not done e-KYC, do it today, otherwise you may miss out on the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Yojana.
