Panchayat's 'Rinki' took to acting after listening to the astrologer: Changed her name after entering the industry; Sanvika was impressed after watching Anushka's film

Panchayat's Rinki i.e. Sanvika. In season 3, she has impressed the audience a lot with her innocence and natural acting. Sanvika, who hails from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is actually named Pooja Singh. She changed her name after entering the industry.

Sanvika, who studied engineering, was never interested in acting. Once an astrologer casually told her that she should try her hand in the acting field. After this, Sanvika also came to Mumbai to try her luck.

After some struggle, she got a chance to work in the series Panchayat, through which she became quite famous. She recently gave an interview to Dainik Bhaskar.

Let's start the conversation with 'Rinki' i.e. Sanvika…

Question- Sanvika, you changed your name before coming into the industry, what was the reason for changing the name?
answer- My name was Pooja earlier. Now everyone knows how common this name is. My name used to appear as Pooja Singh on the credit roll. I needed a different stage name. Sometimes the quotation of another Pooja Singh used to appear in newspapers along with my photo. I had decided then that I would have to change my name. During the casting of Panchayat Season 1, I was known as Pooja Singh.

Question: You have grasped the dialect of eastern Uttar Pradesh very well. Many people think that you belong to that place. But where do you actually belong to?
answer- I am from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. I did my schooling and engineering from there. After that I stayed in Bangalore for a few days. I had no intention of getting into acting. Once I was a little confused about what I should do in life. Then I showed my horoscope to an astrologer.

He told me that whenever I get a chance in life, I should definitely try acting. Since I believe a lot in astrology, I felt that he was right. Then one of my friends joined the film industry. Through her, my acting journey also started.

Question: Which was the movie that influenced you the most in your early days?
answer- I started watching movies in class 11. There was a lot of strictness in school and college, due to which I did not get a chance to watch movies. Sometimes I used to bunk college and go to watch movies. Once I went to watch Anushka Sharma's film NH10.

I liked that film very much. At that time, the thought came to my mind that if I ever get a chance to act, I would like to play a role like Anushka Sharma. Apart from this, I also liked films like Wake Up Sid and Band Baaja Baaraat. Ranveer Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have been my favourites.

Q. Who is your overall favourite actor right now?
answer- I like watching the films of Irrfan Khan and Naseeruddin Shah. Overall, Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra are like role models for me. It is not just about acting, it should also matter how a person is in real life. When both of them speak, every word seems meaningful.
