Actress Sonakshi Sinha is going to marry Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. So far, celebs like Poonam Dhillon and Honey Singh have openly given statements about this marriage. However, neither the couple nor anyone from their family has talked about this till now.
Now Shatrughan Sinha's close friend Pahlaj Nihalani has confirmed that these reports are true. Pahlaj Nihalani, who calls himself Sonakshi's maternal uncle, said that he will definitely attend this wedding.
Along with this, he also talked about the rumours that Sonakshi's father Shatrughan is not happy with this marriage and he will not attend this marriage.

Shatrughan has been away from home for 3 months: Pahlaj
In an interview with Times Now, Pahlaj also talked about Shatrughan's recent statement in which the actor had said that he had no information about his daughter's marriage. Pahlaj said, 'Since Shatrughan was away from home for the last 3 months due to the Lok Sabha elections, it is possible that he may not know about this marriage.'
Pahlaj had earlier also confirmed the news of Sonakshi-Zaheer's marriage.
All is well between Sonakshi and her family
Pahlaj claimed in the interview that Sonakshi's mother Poonam would have full knowledge of this wedding plan. She would definitely inform Shatrughan about all these things when he returned home. Pahlaj said that everything is fine between Sonakshi and her family and Shatrughan will definitely attend this wedding.
When asked if Shatrughan is upset with his daughter Sonakshi's decision to get married, Pahlaj said, 'It is possible that Shatrughan is upset with Sonakshi but for how long will he remain upset with his beloved daughter?'
Pahlaj further said, 'I don't understand why Shatrughan would be angry if she is marrying the boy of her choice? Shatrughan himself married the girl of his choice 40 years ago.'

'Children make their own decisions'
Earlier, while talking about Sonakshi's marriage in an interview to Zoom, Pahlaj had said, 'Nowadays children take their own decisions. After all, they have to spend the rest of their lives together, parents should be happy with their decisions.'
Let us tell you that Sonakshi and Zaheer will have a registered marriage on the morning of 23rd June. On the same day in the evening, both of them will host a grand reception party at Bastian Restaurant in Mumbai.
