The makers of the popular TV show 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' had recently filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. In this petition, the makers asked to take action against those YouTube channels, social media accounts and websites that were indiscriminately using the videos and dialogues of the show.
Now, hearing the appeal of the makers, the Delhi High Court has issued an order against several YouTube channels, websites and social media accounts. According to this order, now no one will be able to violate the intellectual rights of the show.
This show, which started on 28 July 2008, has been running for the last 16 years.
No one other than the makers will be able to use the content
Justice Mini Pushkaran passed this order on August 14, which states that now no one other than the makers can use the content of the show. Now if anyone copies the characters of this show, creates AI photos, deepfakes and animated videos, then legal action will be taken against him.

According to Bar and Bench, after hearing this petition, no person, owner, employee or agent can host, stream, broadcast, communicate or present the content and dialogues of 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' in any manner. This will be considered a violation of copyright rules and violation of registered trademark.

The show's producer Asit Kumar Modi has expressed happiness over this order of the court. Modi said- 'This show has received a lot of love from many people. We are thankful to the Delhi High Court which understood the need to protect our intellectual property. Through this order, the court has given a direct message that such violations will not be accepted.'

One of the longest running shows on TV, 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has been in controversies for many reasons for the past few years. First Disha Vakani, then Shelesh Lodha and then many actors including Jennifer Mistry left the show. All of them also made serious allegations against the makers, which affected the TRP of the show.
In the last few years, many artistes have left the show one by one.

Seeing the falling popularity of the show, the makers had approached the Delhi High Court and filed a petition. The makers had accused many social media accounts and websites of selling their products in an unauthorized manner. It was also said that many social media users are making deepfake and obscene videos using the characters of the show.
