New Delhi, Leading News Service: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced in a press conference on Thursday (20th) that a high-level committee will be formed to investigate the alleged paper-crush and confusion in the NEET examination. He said that this committee will review the functioning of the National Testing Institute.
He said that the high-level committee would make recommendations for further improvement in NTA's structure, functioning, examination process, transparency and data security protocols. Strict action will be taken if the committee finds NTA guilty in this case. The government is committed to protecting the rights of students. He said that any irregularity or malfeasance will not be tolerated by the government.
The Patna police are investigating the confusion in the NEET exam case in Bihar. The report in this regard will be received by the central government soon. Pradhan also disclosed that from preliminary information, the type of paper-crush and irregularities were limited to a specific region only.
NET exam paper is admitted to be cracked
As soon as it became clear that the question paper of the cracked paper of the NET exam matched with the original question paper, Pradhan informed that the central government decided to cancel the exam.
