After Kahaani, Raees and Raat Akeli Hai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will once again be seen in the role of a police officer in the film 'Rautu Ka Raaz'. This film will stream on ZEE5 from June 28. Apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajesh Kumar has also played an important role in the film.

Recently Nawazuddin and Rajesh revealed some interesting things about this film during a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Nawaz said that once Kamal Haasan had given him such a task that he had to spend sleepless nights. But later he understood why he had said so.

Because of his task, he got the inspiration to play the same character in different ways. Rajesh told that he was a little nervous in matching his performance with Nawaz.

Rajesh, tell me what did you find special in this film?

The biggest thing was that after 'Hadddi', I was getting a chance to share the screen with Nawaz Bhai once again. When you get a chance to work with a good artist, you should not miss it. The story and characters of the film are very good. I studied in Dehradun. The film was shot in Uttarakhand. For the first time, I was getting a chance to do a long outdoor shoot. All these were the reasons for working in the film.

Nawaz Bhai, tell me, what did you find so special in this film?

I found the character in this film quite different. Although I have played the role of a cop before as well. But the cop character in this film is a very different person from within. When he moves towards purity through investigation, a fire is visible in him. I liked that a lot. The writing of the film is very interesting.

The audience also likes to see you in a uniformed role; does this role suit you very well?

This is happening because this film is coming. Earlier when gangster films used to come, people used to say that the person looks good in the role of a gangster. When you play the same character in different ways, your skill is seen in it. Because of this skill, Kamal Haasan sahab once gave him a big task.

What was that task?

Once I was sitting with Kamal Hassan sahab. This was a long time ago. When Kamal sir used to come to Mumbai during the filming of 'Abhay' and 'Hey Ram', he used to call me and Swanand. We used to discuss acting. I recited the speech of Tughlaq play to Kamal sir. After listening to the speech, Kamal ji gave me a task. He said that the next time we meet, recite five versions of it. I was shocked to hear this. He said this and left and our nights were ruined. But we understood later why he said so. Because of that, today I am able to play the same character in different ways.

What kind of preparation did you have to do for the role of Deepak Negi in the film 'Rautu Ka Raaz'?

I did not prepare much for this role. When we reached the village where we were shooting the film, our body started reacting on its own. We did not need to act there. We were doing what the scene demanded. We felt as if we were just talking and the camera was following us.

Rajesh, you are playing the role of Sub Inspector Dimri, what kind of preparation has been yours?

I was a little nervous. When we worked together in the film 'Hadddi', there was no one to one performance. We did some scenes together, but that too was in very adverse circumstances. Instead of the scene, the circumstances were dominating. At that time, the only thing I had to do was finish the scene somehow. But it was not like that in this film. Here I had to match my performance with Nawaz Bhai. Because of this, I was a little nervous.

Nawaz Bhai, the film was shot in Uttarakhand. What speciality of that place did you understand during the shooting?

The Uttarakhandi dialect can be heard in the dialogues of the film. A lot of care had to be taken to ensure that the Haryanvi dialect does not come out in the dialogues and people start wondering how Haryana came into Uttarakhand.

What is the USP of this film?

This is a thriller film in which there is no drama. The story of the film moves on in very slow moments. This is the beauty of this film. I also liked the character in this because while investigating, his own complexity goes with him. The things that he was struggling with for a long time are also completed along with the investigation. The kind of peace that is there in the mountains, the investigation in this film also goes on in the same way.
