Junior NTR, Jhanvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's film 'Devra Part One' has been released in theaters today. The length of this film is 2 hours 58 minutes. Dainik Bhaskar has given this film a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5.

What is the story of the film?

The film revolves around Devra (Jr. NTR) and his family, who lead a maritime clan and fight against maritime smuggling and crime. Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) comes in front of him, who further increases this conflict. The story of Devra and her son is based on the battle of two generations, driven by the struggle for power and ideals. The film attempts to have an epic story and conflict like Baahubali, but it lacks depth and freshness.

How is the acting of the star cast?

Junior NTR has played a double role in this film. He has played both the characters of Devra and Vara effectively. On one hand, as Devra, she is humble and powerful, while on the other hand, as Vara, she shows innocence and timidity. Saif Ali Khan's performance as Bhaira is strong, especially when he is trying to take revenge on Devra. Jhanvi Kapoor's role is small, but the scenes with her and young NTR are quite entertaining. Srikanth and Prakash Raj in supporting roles have also left a good impression in their roles.

How is the direction of the film?

Director Koratala Siva has presented spectacular visuals and action sequences in the film. The film's action sequences and VFX are its biggest strengths. The cinematography is also wonderful, especially the sea scenes. On the other hand, the story is a bit weak and some scenes like Devra's last encounter with Bhaira end up being rushed. Jhanvi's character could have been given more detail. Saif Ali Khan's character also weakens in the second half. The problem with South dubbed films is that the dubbing is not good enough as per the audience of the Hindi belt. That's why the audience in the Hindi belt is not able to connect with the film.

How is the music of the film?

The background score by Anirudh Ravichander is fantastic and enhances the action sequences. The songs in the film are okay but they do not have any particularly memorable melody.

Final Verdict, watch or not?

If you are a fan of Jr NTR and want to enjoy large-scale action sequences, Devra: Part 1 is worth a watch. However, there is nothing much new in the story and it is largely predictable.
