Realizing that the fight in Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency is between Pawar vs Pawar i.e. senior leader MP Sharad Pawar and his nephew Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has now tried to make the fight as Prime Minister Narendra Modi vs Rahul Gandhi. Efforts have been made to reduce the discontent against Pawar.
At the Bharatiya Janata Party rally in Indapur on Friday, Fadnavis made it clear that the fight was not Sunetra Pawar vs Supriya Sule or Sharad Pawar vs Ajit Pawar, but Narendra Modi vs Rahul Gandhi. .
Basically in this constituency the fight was between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, but the wave of latent sympathy towards Sharad Pawar may turn against Ajit Pawar. Devendra Fadnavis has rightly recognized that Sharad Pawar's image can become bigger at any time during this battle of images of these two, which is a big danger. There is a picture in the constituencies that Bharatiya Janata Party workers do not like this Pawar vs Pawar fight at all, so there is a lot of dissatisfaction among them and this dissatisfaction has been addressed by the senior BJP leader of Indapur, former minister Harsh Vardhan Patil. Harshvardhan Patil has publicly presented his stand against Ajit Pawar. Devendra Fadnavis held a meeting or two in Mumbai with Harshvardhan Patil to remove this discontent among the BJP workers. As the picture did not seem to have changed, he made a hasty visit to Indapur on Friday, where he only had to attend a gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party workers. . Devendra Fadnavis had to announce a fight between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi in order to remove the discontent among the BJP workers in that gathering.
In the last 30-35 years in the Bharatiya Janata Party, there are a large number of activists in every taluka who are fed up with the troubles of Ajit Pawar from the NCP and Congress. So now again a feeling has arisen among them that they should give strength to Ajit Pawar and then get into trouble. At such a time, these workers may tend towards Supriya Sule, who will not face any trouble in the future. The BJP leadership is worried that either these activists may remain neutral or do opposition work at the local level.
Leaders such as Harshvardhan Patil, Vijay Shivtare have brought forward all this dissatisfaction. Therefore, instead of creating a feeling that this fight is between the two Pawars, Devendra Fadnavis has tried to make it Modi vs. Gandhi. The same issue will be brought forward by BJP in the future. Even now BJP is campaigning on this line that Narendra Modi should be an MP from Baramati to make him Prime Minister.
If we look at the anti-Pawar activist or anti-Pawar thinking in Baramati constituency, it seems that in the last 25 to 30 years, all that thinking is in opposition to Ajit Pawar. Therefore, Ajit Pawar may be more affected by anti-Pawar ideas. Sharad Pawar may be less impressed by it. Because in the last 25 to 30 years, Ajit Pawar has seen all the administration of Pune district especially Baramati Lok Sabha constituency unilaterally. Because of this, his opponents in the party, opponents in the BJP, local level leaders and activists have been greatly hurt by him. Therefore, if there is a fight between Pawar and Pawar, it is likely that the anti-Pawar voters of BJP will give more damage to Ajit Pawar. He does not go much against Sharad Pawar. Because in the last 25 to 30 years, Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule have not paid much attention at the local level. So there is not much relation of hurting anyone from them. At such a time, the deputy chief minister has tried to make this fight not Pawar against Pawar but Modi against Gandhi.
Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers have worked here for the past five years with the insistence that both Pawars would win the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency this time even when they were together. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also visited this constituency taking care of this constituency. Chandrakant Patil, the then guardian minister of Pune district, also frequently visited Baramati. The Bharatiya Janata Party had created a network of workers in every assembly constituency in Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency up to the level of Booth Chief. Ajit Pawar suddenly joined the BJP on 3rd of July and these activists have faced a big problem because while they were making all these preparations against Pawar, these activists were doing organizational building while criticizing Ajit Pawar. At such a time, these activists do not have the courage to go and tell the people to suddenly vote in favor of Ajit Pawar. Therefore, Devendra Fadnavis has tried to give a different direction to the activists who have this dissatisfaction. His statement shows that he has tried to give energy to the BJP workers that they are not working for Pawar but for Modi.
After the Lok Sabha elections, the elections to the Vidhan Sabha and local self-government bodies will be held. At such a time, the BJP and Shiv Sena workers of the Shinde group have also thought that whether they should bring the symbol of Ajit Pawar's party to their homes and destroy themselves in the future. Because looking at Ajit Pawar's working style, he does not take any election easily, very seriously he will get every seat, the corporator will be his, he will have the majority in the local self-government body, Ajit Pawar works for this purpose and this is experienced by the workers of all the parties in Pune district. Therefore, there is a current of thought among the local level leaders whether to give strength to Ajit Pawar. Knowing all this, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seems to have tried to shape this fight as 'Gandhi vs Modi'.
