Mamata Banerjee's problem increases, CBI raids, arms stockpile seized from Sandeshwala









New Delhi, Leading News Service: A CBI raid here on Friday led to the seizure of a cache of foreign firearms and weapons by local Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan Shaikh, who is in national headlines for allegedly sexually abusing women and grabbing their land, as the second phase of polling is underway in West Bengal. Therefore, in the background of the Lok Sabha elections, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress are facing more problems.

The CBI had received confidential information that a large stockpile of arms had been stashed here under Sandesh. Accordingly, a cache of foreign-made guns and other weapons was seized in a raid conducted at one location. Due to this action of the CBI, the BJP has attacked the ruling Trinamool Congress in the ongoing campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. A drug racket was exposed here under the banner of local Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan Shaikh, who was infamous for his alleged abuse of women and land grabbing. Speaking to the media, West Bengal BJP state president Sukant Majumdar reacted that now illegal weapons have been added to it.

Sandeshkali village in the border district of Sunderbans, just 100 km from Kolkata, has been plagued by violence and illegal activities for the past one year. Some women accused the local Trinamool Congress leader Shah Jahan Sheikh of oppressing us and grabbing the land. There was a strong protest here under the message against it. Shahjahan Sheikh is also accused of running a ration scam. When the ED team went to his house for investigation in this scam, he attacked the team. Alleging that Shah Jahan Sheikh has the support of Mamata Banerjee, the BJP has launched a tirade against the Trinamool Congress in the election campaign. With the seizure of arms stockpile here at Sandeshkhal while the second phase of polling is underway, the BJP has got Aite Kolit in its hands.
