Mainpuri Lok Sabha: BJP's Jayveer Singh Thakur in Mainpuri against Dimple Yadav | leader









Delhi Leader News Service : BJP has announced the tenth list of its nine candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday (10th). In this list, 7 candidates are from Uttar Pradesh and one candidate each from West Bengal and Union Territory of Chandigarh. The BJP has fielded Jayveer Singh Thakur against former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav in the Mainpuri constituency of Uttar Pradesh, which is considered the bastion of the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party leader from Mainpuri. Mulayam Singh Yadav was a five-time MP. His wife Dimple Yadav has been elected to the Lok Sabha three times. She has been an MP twice from Kannauj constituency and once from Mainpuri. He also won the Lok Sabha by-election from Mainpuri. Samajwadi Party has won ten times in Mainpuri. BJP also announced its candidate from Ballia constituency. Former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar's son Neeraj Shekhar has been nominated from Ballia. Apart from this, BJP has also announced the candidates from Kaushambi (SC), Phulpur, Prayagraj, Machilishahar (SC), Gazipur constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

Mainpuri Lok Sabha : Announcement of names of 70 candidates from Uttar Pradesh

Out of the total 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, the names of 70 candidates have been announced so far. Out of the remaining ten constituencies, five constituencies have been left by the BJP to its allies. So now only five constituencies are left to announce the candidates. BJP has nominated Sanjay Tandon from Union Territory of Chandigarh. S. S Ahluwalia has been fielded from Asansol instead of West Bengal's Darjeeling.
