Pashupati Kumar Paras announced his resignation in a press conference in Delhi today (19th) in the wake of the outrage after the seat allocation in Bihar. “We have been wronged, so I am resigning from the post of Union Minister,” he said. BJP will contest on 17 seats while Samyukt Janata Dal will contest on 16 seats

The BJP sealed the seat allocation in Bihar yesterday, leaving five seats to Chirag Paswan's Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas group). In Bihar, BJP will contest on 17 seats and Samyukt Janata Dal on 16 seats. Apart from this, Jitanram Manjhi's Awam Morcha (Secular), Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest one seat each. As Pashupati Kumar Paras was not left a single seat in this, he has resigned from the minister's post due to growing discomfort.
