Famous Kannada cinema actor Darshan Thugudeepa has been in jail for the last 4 months. He is accused of murdering his own fan Renukaswami. Some time ago, pictures of Darshan smoking cigarettes and talking on video call in jail went viral, after which the jailer was suspended and he was shifted to Ballari jail. Now the news is that Darshan, who is in jail, is constantly arguing demanding facilities. On this, the jailer has warned him that if he does not follow the discipline, he will have to face the consequences.
According to NDTV report, Darshan Thugudeepa, who is in jail, is constantly arguing with the officers due to lack of facilities. In such a situation, the jailor has warned him that if he continues with this arrogant and stubborn attitude, he will have to face serious consequences. The jailor has also explained to him that while staying in jail, he will get only those things which are given in the jail. If he wants anything other than that, then he will have to file a petition in the court for this.
Darshan's behavior is being monitored in jail
In his warning, the jailor has also told Darshan Thoogudeepa that the court is keeping a close watch on his behaviour and the way he follows the rules in the jail. Instead of cooperating with the officials in the jail, he is violating the disciplinary norms.
Some time ago Darshan was seen smoking cigarettes in jail
Darshan Thugudeepa is currently lodged in Ballari jail, although before this he was in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru. A few days ago, a picture of Darshan from Parappana jail sitting with some people in the jail garden smoking cigarettes and drinking tea went viral. After the picture went viral, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered him to be shifted to another jail and demanded strict action from the DGP, after which 7 officers were suspended.
Darshan accused of killing a fan
On June 9, the body of 33-year-old Renukaswamy was found near an apartment in Kamakshipalya area of Bengaluru. When the police investigated the area around the crime scene, they saw Darshan and Pavitra coming out of the crime scene in CCTV footage. The mobile numbers of both were active in the same area from 11 pm to 3 am.
After this, Darshan and Pavitra were arrested on 11 June.
Why was Renukaswami murdered
Actually, the deceased Renukaswamy was a fan of Darshan Thoogudeepa. In January 2024, Kannada actress Pavitra Gowda celebrated her 10th anniversary with Darshan. Darshan was already married, due to which his relationship with actress Pavitra Gowda came into controversy.
Renukaswamy, who considered Darshan as his idol, was very upset with this news. He was constantly messaging Pavitra and threatening her to stay away from Darshan. Initially, Pavitra ignored his messages, but later Renukaswamy started threatening her by sending objectionable messages. When Pavitra complained about this to Darshan, Darshan, with the help of his companions, called Renukaswamy to a godown, where he was tortured and killed. According to the confession of the accused, after the murder, the clothes of Darshan's companions were soaked in blood. They went to the nearby Reliance store and bought new clothes and changed there. In this case, 19 people including Darshan and Pavitra are behind bars.
