New Delhi, Leading News Service: Considering the summer vacation, the railway department has increased the number of trains in Maharashtra. The Railway Department has decided to increase the number of 1878 trains in the western sector. Keeping in mind the summer vacations, the Railways has increased the round of 9 thousand 111 trains. Compared to last year, there are 2,742 more ferries this year. Last year, a total of 6,369 trains were extended.
Railway department has started additional trains on major routes. Railway department has decided to run extra trains in all zones to reduce the congestion of passengers in Maharashtra along with Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Orissa, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.
The railway department has clarified that the decision to run additional trains along with increasing the number of trains has been taken based on the complete information received from the PRS system, number of passengers in the waiting list, media, social media and railway integrated helpline number 139. All zonal railway authorities have been directed to provide drinking water facilities at railway stations for passengers during summer.
