Hyderabad's challenge of 114 runs against Kolkata


Leader Online Desk: After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Hyderabad scored just 113 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 18.3 overs. This is the lowest score in IPL history. Earlier in 2013, Chennai had given Mumbai a target of 125 runs.

Hyderabad's innings got off to a poor start. Abhishek Sharma two runs, while Travis Head returns to the pavilion without opening the account. In the match, Hyderabad thundered before the accurate hitting by the Kolkata bowlers. After winning the toss in the final match and batting first, Hyderabad got off to a rough start. On the fifth ball of the first over of the innings, Mitchell Starc clean bowled Abhishek Sharma and gave Hyderabad the first blow. Abhishek Sharma managed to score only 2 runs in 5 balls in his innings.

Travis Head retreats without cracking the pumpkin

Hyderabad's second batsman was dismissed in the form of Travis Head on the sixth ball of the second over of the match. He was caught by Kolkata bowler Vaibhav Arora. Head, an explosive batsman, could not crack a pumpkin in his innings. He was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings.

Harshit Rana gave Hyderabad their fourth blow by dismissing Nitesh Reddy. In the seventh over of the innings, Rana caught Reddy with a gurbakar. Nitesh Reddy scored 13 runs in 10 balls in his innings.

In the 13th over of the match, Andre Russell dismissed Gurbazkarvi Adbul Samad. Samad scored 4 runs in 4 balls in his innings.

Heinrich Klaasen out; Hyderabad 90 for 8

Hyderabad suffered their eighth blow in the form of Klaasen on the first ball of the 15th over of the match. He was clean bowled by Kolkata bowler Harshit Rana. Klaasen scored 16 runs off 17 balls in his innings.

Ninth blow to Hyderabad; Jaydev Undkat out

Hyderabad received a ninth shock in the form of Jaydev Undkat. He was dismissed lbw by Sunil Narine. He could score four runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has come in to bat at number 11. He has Cummins to back him up.

Hyderabad's innings rolled; Pat Cummins out

In the 19th over of the match, Russell caught Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins off Mitchell Starc to restrict Hyderabad to 113 runs. Cummins scored 24 runs off 19 balls in his innings.
