His mother wanted to remove Karthik from his first film: She said – I was surprised to hear about acting, I put a condition that he should complete his studies first.

Kartik Aryan made his Bollywood debut in 2011 with the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Before this, he had struggled a lot to get a break in the film world. Although Karthik's family did not know this. After getting the offer for his first film, Kartik called and gave this good news to his mother.

On one hand he was crying with happiness, while on the other hand his mother was nervous after hearing about his entry into films. He even requested the film's director Luv Ranjan to remove Karthik from the film. So that they can focus on their studies.

Speaking to Galata India, Karthik's mother Mala Tiwari said, 'He (Karthik) called me after his selection. He was crying with happiness. He said- Mom, I lied to you. I came to Mumbai to appear in films. On this I said- I had sent you to complete your degree and settle down in life, why would you come into films?

I also started crying. Then he said- Why are you crying? On this I said that I am crying because what did that director see in you?

Karthik was asked to be dropped from the film

Mala Tiwari said, 'Two days after this news, I went to meet director Luv Ranjan. I asked him just one question – Son, why did you choose my son out of all the people in the world? Let's keep this matter between us and please remove my son from the film. But he refused to accept my condition.

Karthik's mother had given him permission to work in films only on the condition that he would complete his engineering degree and keep his promise.

Karthik has recently been seen in the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This film of horror comedy genre has performed well at the box office.
