Leader Online Desk: Delhi's Mungeshpur weather station recorded a temperature of 51.4 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature ever recorded in the history of the city, reports 'ANI'.
On Tuesday, May 28, the Indian Meteorological Department had clarified that hot weather is likely to continue in the country for at least the next 2 days.

Conditions favorable for entry of monsoon in Kerala
Prevailing heat wave to severe heat wave in Northwest and Central India is likely to gradually subside from 30 May 2024 onwards. The Met department has also said that the conditions are favorable for the onset of Southwest Monsoon rains over Kerala and further over parts of Northeast states in the next 3-4 days.

Regarding the heat wave in North India, senior IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar says, “Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will experience heat wave for the next two days. After that, the heat wave will subside a bit. Winds from the Arabian Sea will bring down the temperature and the heat wave is likely to subside in Kerala in the next 3-4 days.
