Leader Online Desk : Mukhtar Ansari, a gangster and former MLA from Uttar Pradesh, deteriorated in jail today (March 26) morning. He has been admitted to a medical college in Banda, reports 'ANI'. A tight police presence has been deployed at the hospital. The district administration has kept silent in this matter.
Ansari was suffering from stomach pain for the past three days. He was admitted to Rani Durgavati Medical College in Banda early today. The hospital has clarified that his condition is stable after treatment.
Two days ago, the government had suspended a jailer and two deputy jailers for lax security of Mukhtar Ansari. Mafia Mukhtar Ansari had accused the jail administration of giving him slow poison in court during his virtual appearance. Mukhtar Ansari's condition had been steadily deteriorating for the past week and he was admitted to the hospital after his condition worsened during the night.
Ansari, 36, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the Gazipur fake arms license case. A case was registered against Ansari and 12 of his associates in March 2022.
