Actor Kamal Sadana started his acting career with the film 'Bekhudi' released in 1992. Kamal, son of producer Brij Sadana and actress Saida Khan, in a recent interview talked about the emotional trauma he felt on his 20th birthday.
In an interview given to YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Kamal mentioned the incident that happened on his 20th birthday on 21 October 1990 when his father shot Kamal's mother and sister and committed suicide.
Kamal's father Brij Sadana was once a famous producer. He produced hit films like 'Victoria No. 203' and 'Do Bhai'.
'A bullet passed through my neck'
Kamal said, 'It was very traumatic to see my family dying in front of my own eyes. I was also shot.
A bullet had passed through my neck. Still, I don't know how, I survived. I didn't even have any physical problem.
I told the doctor- 'Keep my mother and sister alive'
Kamal further said, 'I took my mother and sister to the hospital. Both had lost a lot of blood. Till then I did not know that I too had been shot. The doctor noticed and told me that I too had been shot.
The doctor asked me to get admitted too but I said that you should just keep my mother and sister alive. After this I also had to go to check what my father was doing after doing all this.
Kamal started his career with 'Bekhudi' opposite Kajol.
Father had fought under the influence of alcohol
Kamal told in this interview that after shooting his mother and sister, his father had committed suicide by shooting himself. He did this under the influence of alcohol after a fight at home.
All this happened on Kamal's birthday, after which Kamal did not celebrate his birthday for many years.
On the work front, Kamal was seen in Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur starrer 'Pippa', released on OTT.
