Famous fashion designer Rohit Bal (63) died of a heart attack on Friday. He was suffering from heart related diseases. Fashion Development Council of India (FDCI) President Sunil Sethi confirmed Bal's demise. Sethi said- He (Rohit) suffered a heart attack, Rohit was a legend, we are completely shaken right now.

He told that Rohit was undergoing treatment at Ashlok Hospital in Safdarjung Enclave. Dr. Alok Chopra was treating Bal. Rohit had a heart attack on Friday. Doctors tried their best for 2 hours to revive him, but Rohit could not be saved.

Rohit presented his collection 'Kainaat: A Bloom in the Universe' at the Lakme India Fashion Week at the Imperial Hotel in Delhi on October 13. This was his last show. Actress Ananya Panday was the show-stopper of the event and presented a rose to Rohit at the end of the show.

At the same time, many Bollywood celebrities have expressed grief over Rohit's demise. Rohit will be cremated at Lodhi Road crematorium in New Delhi on Saturday evening at 5 pm.

Rohit was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. Rohit Bal was born in Srinagar on 8 May 1961 in a Kashmiri Pandit family. He did his graduation in History from St. Stephen's College. Later his family shifted to Delhi. Here Rohit completed his further studies.

Rohit did a fashion course from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. After this, in 1986, he started his career in the fashion industry by establishing Orchid Overseas Private Limited with his brother.
