Actress Disha Vakani, who plays Dayaben in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has not been seen in the show for a long time. In a recent conversation, Munmun Dutta, who plays Babita in the show, mentioned the lack of Disha. The actress told that she misses her a lot.
In an interview with E Times, Munmun Dutta said, 'We always remember those who have left us, even those who have left the show. I miss Disha a lot. Whenever we have fun, we remember her and say remember when Disha said this? We have a lot of good memories of her. Whenever Disha used to get calls from unknown numbers, she used to change her voice before picking it up.'
Disha Vakani's role as Dayaben was well received by the audience. However, she has not been seen in the show since 2017. Disha went on maternity leave and has not returned since then.
The show's producer Asit Modi has talked about Disha's return or bringing in a new Dayaben many times. Last year, he had said that the audience is eagerly waiting to see their favourite Dayaben back on the show. Casting for this character is challenging. It will not be easy for any actress to replace Disha. A brilliant artist will be needed for this.
Let us tell you that Disha Vakani is not the only one who said goodbye to 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. Many stars including Raj Anadkat, Gurucharan Singh, Jennifer Mistry and Shailesh Lodha have already left the show. Recently, Kush Shah, who played the character of Goli, has also left the show.
